Sign up for a four-hour canvassing shift in Greater Portland. In partnership with Avesta Housing and the Immigrant Welcome Center, we bring volunteers into neighborhoods to connect with new voters at their doors. We register new voters, answer questions, hand out information, and make sure that our neighbors are invited and encouraged to vote. We have virtual trainings on the calendar (check at http://lwvme.org/events) but if you can't make one, we'll train you at the start of the shift, don't worry.
No prior experience is necessary - we'll make sure you have everything you need to have great conversations at the door.
This time we're in East Bayside, gathering at the community room at 2 Stone Street at 9. This is our last chance to register voters at the door this year!
