LWV-Portland: Annual Meeting

As we approach the end of another productive League year, get ready to celebrate! Back as an In Person event(!) we'll start with a potluck social time, and proceed to a short League business meeting. We've got 2 highlights to the evening. First, Professor Ron Schmidt from USM's Political Science Department, will help us learn more about the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact and the electoral college. Next, there is a surprise recipient of the Emily Farley Annual Award, given to a Maine League leader who has consistently worked to improve the standing of the League of Women Voters and who embodies the values of the organization. Please join us.

• Masks are optional.
• Recommend that attendees test for covid the day of the event.

• Keynote Address on National Popular Vote will be live streamed on Facebook and recorded.
